An American Idol BELIEVE ACHIEVE Story - Adam Lambert

American Idol Top 10 finalist, Adam Lambert, has a Believe Achieve story to tell. During an interview he says, “Life is all about taking risks to get what you want.” And indeed he did. Here's his Inspiring story.

Twenty-seven year old, Lambert, knew he wanted to be an entertainer at the age of 10. From elementary school and into high school he participated in theater, the choir and jazz band. He says his greatest musical influences were his parents for having many classic records for him to discover.

Lambert began to take private voice lessons and his voice coach knew Adam had an incredible talent. He appeared in several musicals including “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Grease” and “Chess.”

After high school, Lambert did what most graduates do: attend college. But, after only 5 weeks, he decided to follow his dreams to become an entertainer. Lambert said, “I just decided that what I really wanted to do was try to work in the real entertainment world....Life is all about taking risks to get what you want.” He knew it was going to a rough road, but he believed in himself and his dreams.

The next few years, he did the "starving artist" thing. Lambert worked on projects just to pay the bills. He wasn't living the glamorous life but he never gave up. And never giving up paid off. He landed an understudy spot in the cast of “Wicked” as Fiyero and has starred opposite Val Kilmer’s Moses in "The Ten Commandments" as Joshua at the Kodak Theatre in 2004.

If Lambert had thrown in the towel and given up all hope of his dreams coming true when he was living in his cruddy apartment in Los Angeles, he wouldn't be where he is now. He's center-stage of the most prestigious entertainment platform: American Idol.

With Lambert's exceptional talent, his belief in himself and No Fear risk taking attitude, he's surely going to go far beyond American Idol, even if he doesn't make it to the end. With his momentum, there is no stopping Adam now!

Today, take a risk. Follow your heart. Follow your dreams. Believe in yourself. And never give up. Our dreams are always worth working hard towards.

Many Blessings....

    A Believe Achieve story, indeed!
Adam Believed in himself, took a risk and has Achieved far greater successes than he would have if he had second guessed his actions.

    Way to go, Adam! :-)

Adam's quote is Awesome! We knew you'd like that. He took his Imperfect Action by following his heart and pursuing his dreams instead of finishing school. And look at him now. He has a track record of success stories to tell!
