5 More Simple Ways to Enhance the Quality of Your Life in 20 Minutes a Day

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."

~Leo Buscaglia

In our previous post, we shared 5 Simple Ways to Enhance the Quality of Your Life in Just 20 Minutes a Day. They included: counting your blessings, waking with a smile, keep smiling, add laughter to your day and spend time with nature. Doing these will surely help change your perspective on life. Because that's all it really boils down to....Perspective.

And as Abraham Lincoln says: "...in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years."

With that said, here are 5 more incredible ways to enhance the quality of our lives.

6. Perform a Random Act of Kindness. The smallest act of caring will go farther than you can imagine. The simple act not only brings smiles and "feel good" vibes to the recipient but to you also. It's a Win-Win!

7. Say "I Love Me!!" One of the hardest things for anyone to do is say they absolutely Love themselves. We've been made to believe it's self-centered. So, here's our belief: How can one feel love, express love and expect it, if we can not love ourselves? Loving oneself is about self-acceptance. Don't be afraid to say it out loud!

8. Feed Your Mind. Turn off the T.V. or at least the News. It's just filled with negative stories and less of it will do wonders to your mental health. Instead, begin each day with some Inspirational reading. Subscribe to your favorite blog (like this one!) or memorize your favorite quotes/affirmations. Be sure to also write them done, post them somewhere you'll see every morning, and read them aloud. Enjoy more of the "feel good" vibes.

9. Be Still. Our world has turned so fast-paced, sometimes it can be difficult to keep up. And keeping up or even being ahead of the pack can be stressful. So, we recommend to "be still" for just a few minutes a day. Focus on taking deep breaths, relax your shoulders and press the mute button on all that's going on around you. You'll feel rejuvenated and ready to take on the world!

10. Take an Imperfect Action. This is a wonderful philosophy which is changing many lives forever. Our friend, Giovanna Garcia's mantra is "Imperfect Action is Better than No Action." What this means is to take action on something you've been hesitant about because you feared the outcome, or have been waiting for the perfect moment and circumstance. Well, friends, there is no better time than NOW! Take an action today, even if you don't quite have it all planned out. It's still better than no action at all.

We challenge you to commit to enhance the quality of your life each day. You'll notice a happier, more fulfilled you. The more fulfilled you feel, the more joy and love you'll ultimately have to share. Enhancing the quality of your life will enhance the quality of someone else's. All it takes is 20 minutes.
